Registration for AFCAT 2021 has started.

The registration period for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) will end on June 30.
A total of 334 positions in the flying and ground-duty branches will be filled, with two seats in the ground duty nontechnical branches allotted for law graduates.


As of July 1, 2022, the age restriction for flying branches is 20-24 years, while for ground duty branches it is 20-26 years

After Selection of Applicants, training will begin at the Air Force Academy Dundigal near Hyderabad in the first week of July 2022.
Training for flying and ground duty technical branches lasts 74 weeks, while training for ground duty non-technical branches lasts 52 weeks.

Online applications are being accepted for courses beginning in July 2022 for the award of a Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Flying Branch, as well as a Permanent Commission (PC) and a Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (technical and non-technical branches).
"Online applications are also welcomed for the issuance of PC or SSC for NCC special entrance scheme (for flying branch) and meteorology admission," according to the Indian Air Force.
